Planning to climb the stone stairs on Mt. Haguro or staying at Saikan on top of the mountain, but wondering how you are going to do with your big-sized luggage?
From today, Mt. Haguro's Ideha Bunka Museum いでは文化記念館 is starting a luggage storage service in the entrance area. Inside the museum, you will find a free rest area, with air-conditioning, toilet, free Wi-Fi and vending machines to take a break from the summer heat.
300 yens for medium sized lockers/ day (3 lockers)
500 yens for big sized lockers/ day (4 lockers)
From April to November: 09:00～16:00
From December to March: 09:30～15:30
Every Tuesdays outside July-August period (the museum closes on Tuesdays)
Please don't put animals, raw food, dangerous items or stinky goods inside the locker.
In case you lost the key, a 5000 yens reparation fee will be charged to replace the key.
The lockers are not located in the air-conditioned area, so please do not put food that would melt or items sensitive to heat (medicines or such).
Grab the opportunity to visit Ideha Bunka Museum, a museum that specializes in Yamabushi culture and history around Dewa Sanzan. Traditional clothes, ritual items, paintings and photographs telling the story of those mysterious monks will tell you more about the Dewa Sanzan's spirituality. (Entry to the exposition room: 400 yens/adult, 300 yens/teenagers, 200 yens/children)
